“the face of all the world is changed, i think（我想，这个世界的面貌忽然改变了）”

“das gesicht der welt verndert, glaube ich.”

“since first i heard of the footsteps of thy soul（自从我听见你心灵的脚步声）”

“move still, oh, still, beside me, as they stole（穿越我与死亡之间的幽暗外缘）”

“los, noch neben mir, als sie gestohlen.”

“betwixt me and the dreadful outer brink（静静地、静静地，来到了我身边）”

“zwischen mir und der dramatischen ueren rand.”

“of obvious death, where i, who thought to sink（站在那儿的我，本只想被黑暗淹没）”

“der offensichtliche tod, wo ich dachte, sinken.”

“was caught up into love, and taught the whole(却不料被爱俘获，还用新的韵律)”

“of life in a new rhythm. the cup of dole(教会了我生命的意义。

“god gave for baptism, i am fain to drink（那杯洗礼酒，我心甘情愿地一饮而下）”

“and praise its sweetness, sweet, with thee anear（并赞美它的甘甜——甘甜，是因你在我身边，亲爱的）”

“the names of a country, heaven, are changed away（天堂和人世的称谓，因你的踏足而改变）”

“for where thou art or shalt be, there or here（无论是现在或将来，无论是彼处或此处）”

“wo du bist oder sollst, oder hier.”
